Your home may not be suitable because it is not in good condition or there is not enough room for your family. The Council, Citizens Advice Bureaux and Shelter can all give advice on disrepair and overcrowding.
If there is a risk to health or safety an inspection would usually be carried out by the Private Sector Housing Team.
