The Council’s housing stock was transferred to West Kent Housing Association (WKHA) in 1989. A number of other housing associations also own affordable homes in the District.

In April 2009, there was more than 7,000 affordable homes (rented and shared ownership) owned by housing associations in the District.
As landlords, the housing associations deal with all queries relating to tenancy agreements, communal facilities, housing estate car parking and garages, home exchanges, evictions, property alterations, repairs, right to buy and right to acquire schemes, garden maintenance and home insurance.
If you are interested in being re-housed in a housing association home, you need to register on the Sevenoaks District Housing Register which is managed by WKHA on the Council’s behalf. Please see the Finding a Place to Live section for more information.
The Sevenoaks & Tunbridge Wells Housing Partnership is a partnership involving the two local authorities and selected housing associations. It is anticipated all new affordable housing will be delivered through the housing association members of the Partnership.
