04 February 2012Over Christmas and New Year, your refuse will be collected on your normal collection day, even if it’s a bank holiday.
Sevenoaks District Council will run its usual weekly Monday to Friday refuse collection service throughout the festive holiday period with collections taking place on the bank holidays of Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 December and Monday 2 January.
This means that refuse and recycling should be put out on your usual collection day by 7am. Your bags should not be put out a day or more later as you may have done so in the past.
The Council’s garden waste collection service is also unchanged. Again customers should put their green bins and garden waste bags out on their usual day by 7am.
Anyone who would like additional clear recycling sacks over the holiday period can visit the Council’s Sevenoaks offices in Argyle Road or the Swanley Library & Information Centre in London Road.
