The sites that most of us know as 'The Tip' or 'The Dump' are Household Waste Recycling Centres. They are operated by Kent County Council (KCC), not Sevenoaks District Council.
KCC Household Waste Recycling Centres offer you the ability to recycle items that Sevenoaks District Council cannot collect from your home at this time, such as car batteries, computers, TVs, small electrical appliances, and other items that are not suitable for the Council's weekly kerbside collection.
There are a number of KCC Household Waste Recycling Centres serving the Sevenoaks District, so please click on one of the links below for details of what materials are acceptable at each site, opening times, and other important information about gaining access to each site:
Sevenoaks - Main Road, Sundridge (for Sevenoaks and the surrounding villages)
Swanley - Pedham Place (also known as the 'Teardrop Centre') (for the northern end of the Sevenoaks District, including Eynsford, Farningham, and West Kingsdown)
Tunbridge Wells - Longfield Road (for the southern end of the Sevenoaks District)
Gravesend - Pepper Hill (nearest to Ash, New Ash Green, Hartley, and Longfield)
