'The Tip' - Kent County Council Household Waste Recycling Centres

The sites that most of us know as 'The Tip' or 'The Dump' are Household Waste Recycling Centres.  They are are operated by Kent County Council (KCC), not Sevenoaks District Council.

KCC Household Waste Recycling Centres offer you the ability to recycle items that Sevenoaks District Council is not able to collect from your home at this time, such as:

Domestic batteries
Cars batteries
Computers
Cooking Oil
Engine Oil
Fridges & Freezers
Fluorescent tubes & Low Energy Light Bulbs
Gas bottles
Glass bottles & jars
Metal – all kinds
Mobile phones
Printer & Toner cartridges
Shoes
Small Electrical Appliances (see details)
Soil & rubble
Spectacles
Textiles & clothing
TVs & Computer Monitors
Tyres
Wood
 

A number of KCC Household Waste Recycling Centres serve the Sevenoaks District:

Sevenoaks - Main Road, Sundridge (for Sevenoaks and the surrounding villages)
Swanley - Pedham Place, Button Street (also known as the 'Teardrop Centre') (for the northern end of the Sevenoaks District, including Eynsford, Farningham, and West Kingsdown)
Tunbridge Wells - Longfield Road (for the southern end of the Sevenoaks District)

Gravesend - Pepper Hill (nearest to Ash, New Ash Green, Hartley, and Longfield)
