29 August 2008The sites that most of us know as 'the tip' or 'the dump' are Kent County Council (KCC) Household Waste Recycling Centres. They are operated by the County Council, not Sevenoaks District Council.
The table below outlines where the KCC sites are located, and includes direct links for each to the Kent County Council website.

So, there isn't as much of a need to go to the tip any more!
If you do however have items to dispose of that cannot be recycled by Sevenoaks District Council, please see below for opening times or visit KCC website for a list of the types materials that KCC Household Waste Recycling Centres can accept. Please note the following:
Height Restrictions: There are vehicle height barriers set at 1.85m (6ft) at all KCC Household Waste Recycling Centres.
Facilities for disabled users at KCC Household Waste Recycling Centres: Site staff can assist with the unloading of vehicles as necessary, on request.
Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day: All sites will be closed on these holidays.
