Trade or business waste collections

All businesses in the UK have a legal duty to ensure that their waste is stored, collected, transported and disposed of or recycled properly and in accordance with the law. This obligation is know as the 'Duty of Care' and further information can be found on the Department of Food, Environment & Rural Affairs website.

To help local businesses comply with the law, Sevenoaks District Council provides a competitive trade refuse collection service to businesses both within and outside of the Sevenoaks District.

Our competitive rates are for a 360 litre bin £10.12 per empty, for a 660 litre bin £11.87 per empty or for an 1,100 litre bin £14.85 per empty. These prices are inclusive of VAT. In addition to these charges, there is an annual Duty of Care Waste Administration Fee of £176.25 inclusive of VAT. This fee is payable at the start of the contract then annually thereafter.

Alternatively, for smaller businesses, we can arrange for the collection of trade waste in special sacks which cost £60.18 for a pack of 26 sacks. This price includes VAT.

Recycling services for businesses and other non-households

Sevenoaks District Council does not provide recycling services for businesses or other non-households. However, a number of private companies offer these services and a few are outlined below. Please note that Sevenoaks District Council does not endorse these companies, but passes this information on to you to help you begin to find a solution.
