25 July 2008The Council provides a free Saturday refuse service at specific locations and times throughout the year.

The service accepts most non-hazardous household waste.
Regrettably the service cannot accept bulky items such as fridges, freezers, cookers, cast iron boilers or baths, long metal poles or building materials, manure, paint, oil or large parts of engines or vehicles.
Many larger items can be taken by the Council's paid for recyclable white goods collection service or they can be taken to the local tip.
Compostable garden waste also cannot be accepted by the Saturday refuse collection service although we operate a separate, fortnightly paid for Garden Waste Collection Service.
