09 February 2012All our fees are set at an hourly rate and upon submission of an enquiry we require an initial appropriate fee. Subsequent meetings may incur further fees.
NOTE: VAT rate was increased to 20% from 4th January 2011.
Significant Major Schemes will be individually assessed to recover the Council’s costs.
Major Schemes (eg. 10-50 new dwellings, commercial floor space greater than 1000m2 or sites covering more than 1ha)
£250 + vat (includes first meeting).
Minor Schemes (eg. 1-9 new dwellings, commercial floor space less than 1000m2, barn conversions or stables)
£100 + vat (No meeting included).
If a meeting is agreed £250 + vat
Other Schemes (eg. advertisements, certificate of existing lawful use or variation of condition)
£50 + vat.
Please note:
If we go to external consultation you will be invoiced accordingly.
Schemes regarding Listed Buildings, Conservation areas or from Householders, Registered Social Landlords, Parish Councils or Local Authorities are exempt from charging.
Cancellation Policy
In the case where the customer has paid a fee and the pre application enquiry has been registered and the customer subsequently cancels the meeting or enquiry no fee will be returned. The only exception to this would be if no work has been undertaken in relation to the enquiry.
In the case where the Council has to cancel a meeting (due to unexpected circumstances) an alternative meeting date will be arranged.
