22 May 2012The Sevenoaks District Local Plan is in the process of being replaced by the new Local Development Framework (LDF). Only policies the Secretary of State agreed could be “saved” continue to apply after 25 September 2007.
These “saved policies” and their reasoned justification have been published in the Saved Local Plan Compendium (see link below). These policies will continue to form part of the Development Plan for the determination of Planning Applications until formally replaced by new policies in the LDF.
Copies of the Saved Local Plan Compendium are available for inspection at the District Council offices at Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, the Local Offices in Edenbridge and Swanley or can be downloaded below.

Local Plan Compendium - Important Notice
Please note that as of 22 February 2011 the Core Strategy Development Plan Document has been adopted by the Council. As a result a number of further policies, previously saved and included in the Local Plan Saved Policy Compendium, have now been replaced.
Full detail of the replaced policies are included at Appendix 2 of the Core Strategy, however for the avoidance of doubt, the following policies no longer form part of the Development Plan: Saved Local Plan Policies EN3, EN6, EN7, EN8, SG1A-B, VP8, H9, H10A, H10B, H10C, EP10, EP11B, S1, FH1, DG1, CBP1, SKB1, TR2, TR6, PS2 and PS10.
The replacement of policies EN7, EN8, SG1A (Edenbridge only) and VP8 involve changes to the Proposals Map. The area affected by the replacement of SG1A is shown in Figure 6 in the Edenbridge chapter of the Core Strategy while the other changes are shown in the plans in Appendix 2.
