Detail applications (discharge of planning conditions):
To request confirmation that one or more planning conditions have been complied with:
- £25.00 per request for Householder development (i.e. the consent relates to enlarging, improving or altering an existing dwelling or to carry out operations in its curtilage that are ancillary to the dwelling use);
- otherwise £85.00 per request.
Note: a request can be submitted for multiple conditions to be discharged on one planning consent under the same fee if all submitted together.
Variation/Removal of a Condition (includes Minor Material Amendment applications):
To apply to vary or remove a condition following a grant of planning permission the fee is £170.00.
Note: The first such application to vary a permission is entitled to a 'free go' subject to the following rules and time-limits: The application must be submitted by the same applicant, the fee due for the original application must have been paid in full, the application must be submitted within 12 months of the date of the planning consent, the applicant cannot previously have benefitted from a 'free go' under regulation 7 i.e. variation of permission.
Lawful Development Certificates:
- To apply to establish the lawfulness of an existing land-use, or of development already carried out. The fee would be the same as if one were applying for a new permission for that use or operation.
- To apply for a certificate to establish that it was lawful not to comply with a particular condition or other limitation imposed on a planning permission. The fee in this case is £170.00.
- To apply for a certificate to state that some future development would be lawful. The fee would be half what it would be necessary to pay if one were applying for planning permission to carry out whatever form of development is the subject of the certificate.
Fees for prior approval applications are as follows:
- Agricultural buildings and operations £70.00
- Forestry building and operations £70.00
- Demolition of buildings £70.00
- Development by Electronic Communications Code Operators £335.00
Note: These amounts are payable every time: there is no waiver if a further application for prior approval is made.
