07 February 2012The District Council produced a District Wide Landscape Character Assessment in 2004. The project work was carried out by Babtie on behalf of Kent County Council, Sevenoaks District Council and Natural England. It was originally adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance.
The Sevenoaks Countryside Assessment has been reviewed and was adopted as a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) in 2011. It now forms part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) and carries extra weight in making decisions on planning applications.
