Scores on the Doors

What is 'Scores on the Doors'?

'Scores on the Doors' is a public information service that provides local authority hygiene ratings for food businesses across the country.

Every relevant business in the District has been given a food hygiene rating. Premises with excellent standards will be given five stars, premises with good standards will get three stars, whilst premises with very poor hygiene standards will receive no stars.

The scoring system is based on three criteria taken from the Food Standards Agency's statutory risk rating system:

New Food Hygiene Rating Scheme

As of January 2012 the star ratings for businesses within the District will not appear on the SOTD website. This is in preparation for our transition to the national ‘Food Hygiene Rating Scheme’ that Sevenoaks District Council will be implementing in April 2012. This new scheme aims to provide even better information to consumers about food hygiene wherever you can eat out or shop for food.
