Registration and approval of food businesses

Summary

If you operate food premises in the Sevenoaks District you may need to register with Sevenoaks District Council. Certain types of business may need approval

Examples of types of premises that are required to be approved by the Council are stand alone (i.e. not attached to a slaughter house, cutting plant or game handling establishment):

If you use premises in more than one local authority area, you must register with or be approved by each authority separately.

You should contact Sevenoaks District Council's Environmental Health Commercial Team to see if you require approval. You should not operate your business without approval or registration.
