Kemsing

Residents can get fit and active with a new free weekly health walk in the village.

Starting from Tuesday 17th June and every Tuesday thereafter, walkers need to meet at the free car park on the High Street, next to the Wheatsheaf Pub at 10.30am. Any new walkers should arrive a few minutes early, to fill in a short health questionnaire.

This health walk is for any age and ability and is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs, it is also led by trained walk leaders. The walk lasts no more than an hour and aims to encourage sedentary people (people who are not used to exercising) into to physical activity.

There is no need to book, just turn up and get walking. Comfortable footwear is a must and any walkers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information please download the Kemsing health walk flyer ( PDF File 220KB file details).

This walk has been organised by Sevenoaks District Council and is funded by the West Kent Primary Care Trust as part of the 'Sevenoaks District Healthy Lifestyles Project' and the National Choosing Health agenda which aims to make healthy choices easier.
