Sevenoaks Town

Sevenoaks residents can get fit and active with a new, free weekly walk that takes place in the town.

The new health walk starts on Thursday 17th January 2008 and will continue every Thursday thereafter, meeting at Sevenoaks leisure centre just before 10.30 am. The walk travels through the town and around Knole Park, finishing back at the leisure centre about 45 minutes later. The walk is taken by trained walk leaders.

There is no need to book, you can just turn up and get walking. All ages and abilities are welcome and everyone is encouraged to wear comfortable footwear and walk at their own pace. Walkers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Walkers will be asked to complete a short health questionnaire prior to their first walk. For all details download the Sevenoaks Town health walk poster ( PDF 186K file details)

This health walk has been organised by Sevenoaks District Council in partnership with Sencio Community Leisure and is funded by West Kent Primary Care Trust as part of the 'Sevenoaks District Healthy Lifestyles Project' and the national 'Choosing Health' Agenda to make healthier choices easier.
