Edenbridge

The Edenbridge health walk was set up in 2004 as part of the Edenbridge Health Project which is funded by West Kent Primary Care Trust and Sevenoaks District Council.

The weekly walks take place every Wednesday from 9.30am outside the entrance of Edenbridge Leisure Centre

Free weekly walks were set up as a pilot project and due to their popularity, the walks have continued and are now lead by trained volunteer walk leaders. People of all ages and abilities can attend the walks which encourage people to become more active and physically fitter. The walks also contribute towards promoting social inclusion and mental wellbeing.

Newcomers are always welcome on the walks, there is no need to book and no special equipment is needed, just comfortable walking shoes.

The gentle walks are suitable for all ages and abilities including pushchairs and wheelchairs and they take place whatever the weather. The walk takes approximately 40 minutes and they finish at BRIDGES on Edenbridge High Street for refreshments.
