World Mental Health Day

10th October 2008

Making Mental Health a Global Priority. The World Federation for Mental Health envisions a world in which mental health is a priority for all people. Public Policies and programs reflect the crucial importance of mental health in the lives of individuals.

Free Mental Health Workshop

Coming soon in the New Year for 2009 (date to be confirmed)
This free workshop will enable participants to gain a wider understanding, for themselves and others, of the issues surrounding mental health; and thereby to work more effectively with people with mental health problems. The workshops are available to professionals, community and voluntary groups who work with vulnerable groups or individuals experiencing mental health problems.

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

  1. identify the discrimination surrounding mental health problems
  2. define mental health & different mental health problems
  3. relate to peoples’ experiences
  4. demonstrate how to support people with mental health problems
  5. look after their own mental health

Freedom Programme

Free 12 week programme for women recovering from or experiencing domestic abuse
