Swine Flu

Swine flu is the common name given to a new strain of influenza. The current outbreak has been designated a pandemic because it is now spreading in several countries. Pandemic status relates to the spread of the outbreak and not the severity of the flu.

Checking flu symptoms
The Government's new National Pandemic Flu Service website allows people to check symptoms if they think they might have swine flu.
