Review of Polling Districts, Polling Places and Polling Stations

Sevenoaks District Council has conducted a review as required by the Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places (Parliamentary elections) Regulations 2006 that came into force on 1st January 2007.

The Sevenoaks District is divided into small areas for voting purposes; these areas are known as polling districts. Each polling district has a designated polling place where electors cast their votes in person. The aim is to provide polling places for every polling district that are easily accessible to all electors, including those who are disabled. Details of polling district arrangements ( PDF 35K file details)

The views of electors and of the following elected representatives and organisations were sought.

  Members of Sevenoaks District Council
  Members of Kent County Council
  Clerks of Parish Councils in the Sevenoaks District
  Local political associations
  Local Members of Parliament
  Members of the South East Region of the European Parliament

The review is now complete but representations may be made on this subject for a further six weeks from 5th February 2008 by writing to either of the following addresses:
