Council performance

The Council is determined to always provide high quality, value for money services to all of its residents and local businesses.

To help us do this we:

To ensure this approach can be successful it is aligned and integrated with the Council’s financial strategy and commitments set out in the 10 year budget.  Furthermore it takes full account of the Councils approach to risk management and its approach to managing and motivating its workforce.

The Council's performance management arrangements have been recognised as best practice by Local Government Improvement and Development, who concluded that ‘the ethos and culture of performance management runs through the organisation as a whole and also appears positively to influence many local partners.’ For details view IDEA case study ( PDF File 1475KB file details)
