06 January 2009The Council is responsible for the conservation of 95% of the historic environment including conservation areas, listed buildings, historic parks and gardens, archaeological sites and historic landscapes. We work in partnership with English Heritage on the conservation of scheduled monuments and Grades 1, 2 and 2* listed buildings.
