Transport

National Bus Permit 
The National Bus Permit allows free travel on most buses in England and is available to people aged 60 and older and some people with disabilities who live in the Sevenoaks District.

Public transport
The Sevenoaks District transport page contains information on train and bus times and schedules, the National Bus Permit and details of public transport.

Blue badge scheme
The blue badge scheme provides a range of parking benefits for disabled people with severe walking difficulties who travel either as drivers or as passengers.

Mini bus services
Sevenoaks district provides subsidised minibus transport for older residents, residents with special needs and those who cannot easily access public transport.

Voluntary transport

Edenbridge Voluntary Transport Service

Edenbridge Voluntary Transport Service provides transport to medical appointments for people registered with Edenbridge Doctors' Surgery who do not have transport of their own and cannot use public transport.

Sevenoaks Volunteer Centre

Sevenoaks Volunteer Centre runs a driving scheme for people living in Sevenoaks, Edenbridge and the outlying rural villages.

This is a service run for older people who are unable to use public transport because of age, frailty, illness, injury or disability and is part of the Sevenoaks Brighter Futures project. For more information, email fiona.watkins@vawk.org.uk.
