Sevenoaks District Housing Register (SDHR)
The SDHR is the housing waiting list for those wishing to go into social housing, including older people's accommodation in the district.

West-Kent Housing Association
West-Kent Housing Association has a number of houses/apartments specifically designed for older people. The accommodation can be both supported and unsupported.
 

Rockdale Housing Association
Rockdale Housing Association was set up over 50 years ago with the aim of providing housing and care for older people in Sevenoaks. 
 
Grant assistance
The Council provides disabled facilities grants (DFGs) for those in need of adaptations to allow the occupier/s to remain independent in their own homes. Adaptations regularly undertaken are:

1) Stair lifts

2) Bathroom adaptions, ie walk-in baths

3) Access improvements, including ramps

Home improvement agency
The Sevenoaks Home Improvement Agency was established to assist elderly residents (aged 60 or over) who were considering carrying out works of repair and improvement to their homes.

Telecare
Telecare is a service which provides a number of systems that can assist people wishing to remain in their own homes.  Systems are available to provide remote links with emergency officers, fall detectors, and bed occupancy detectors etc. If you are not currently supervised by a care manager and think you should be, you should contact the County Duty who will arrange for you to be assessed. Telecare can also be purchased privately.

Shared-ownership for the Elderly (SHOE)
Moat Housing has a scheme in the District which is an exclusive shared-ownership development for older people. For more information, contact Moat Housing.
