Sevenoaks District Seniors' Action Forum

The Sevenoaks District Seniors Action Forum was officially launched on Friday 1st October 2010 to coincide with United Nations International Day of Older Persons. The Forum has been set up to give a collective voice to people aged over 50 who want to influence decisions that affect their lives and have a say in how services and plans are developed for them.

The forum is run by older people for older people across the Sevenoaks District, and all older people in the District can take part. The forum is an independent organisation with a democratic committee structure and a Constitution ( PDF File 119KB file details). The forum will continue to work with key agencies and will encourage older people to share views, raise concerns and enable their voices to be heard in the planning and provision of local, regional and national services and facilities.

The first public forum event was held on Friday 12th November 2010 in Swanley.  Further Public Forum meetings will be held every 2-3 months, at venues across the District.  Future dates include (venues to be confirmed):
