As part of a licence application, the council will arrange for the premises to be inspected by the Animal Welfare Officer and if deemed necessary the council will arrange for the premises to be inspected by a veterinary surgeon to ensure accommodation is suitable for welfare of animals. The applicant will be invoiced directly by the council for any vet inspection.
The licence will be issued subject to compliance with licence conditions and payment of the licence fee.
Where a licence is granted, that licence and any subsequent licence will expire on the 31st December of the year to which the licence relates and must be renewed before that date if the premises are to continue as a home boarding establishment. They will remain in force until the end of year to which it relates, unless previously cancelled.
The annual licence fee is £200.00
