07 October 2008Anyone who wants to set up a fairground will need the permission of the relevant landowner.
Most public land land locally is owned by local town and parish councils and by Kent County Council.
Sevenoaks District Council does not have any suitable sites for fairgrounds.
There are also some privately owned sites that may also be suitable for fairgrounds. Permission would need to be granted from the landowner for their use. The Land Registery can help identify land owners of private land should a suitable site be identified but the owner is not known.
